Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Phi Golf service operated by Neil Dolling, a sole trader trading as "Phi" with a registered address at Elvaston, Gomshall Lane, Shere, Surrey GU5 9HE, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Phi Golf, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Phi Golf is a web application at https://phi.golf that lets users run private friend leagues alongside real pro-tour golf events. Members create tournaments, add teams, and compete on a season leaderboard ranked by lowest total strokes. Prizes, where offered, are sponsor-provided rewards (such as golf balls or tee times) — there are no cash payouts. The service is provided "as is" and we may add, change, or remove features at any time.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration details. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to break any law;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems;
- upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property rights;
- resell or commercialise the service without our written consent;
- use the service to operate any form of gambling, betting, or wagering scheme involving cash or cash equivalents.
4. Membership and payment
Phi Golf is sold as a season membership. A season runs for one year from the date you subscribe. Prices are listed on our pricing page and shown to you before checkout. Payment is taken once, in advance, by Stripe.
5. Renewal and cancellation
Memberships do not automatically renew. Towards the end of your season we will invite you to renew for the next season. You can stop receiving renewal reminders at any time from your account settings.
6. Refunds
See our Refund Policy. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 are unaffected by these Terms.
7. Termination by us
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to remedy the breach first.
8. Intellectual property
All software, designs, and content that make up Phi Golf belong to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose for as long as your subscription is active.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost data).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, save that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
